How much is a Disney cruise? Two guests sharing an inside stateroom pay a median $2,588¹ for 4 nights and $4,501¹ for 7 nights, taxes and fees included, across 919 sailings departing between February 2026 and September 2027. The spread around those medians is wide: the cheapest fare in the sample was $1,100¹ for two, while one 7-night concierge suite reached $49,427¹.

Timing and ship matter almost as much as cabin choice. A June night costs about $360² more than an October night for the same inside stateroom, a verandah nearly doubles the fare on Alaska sailings, and recommended gratuities add about 5% to a 7-night inside fare.³⁴⁵ This page prices each of those levers, then sets out the extras, the booking terms, the fleet and what the crew earn.

How much is a Disney cruise per person?

The fares below are totals for a stateroom shared by two guests. Each median starts from the lowest public fare in each stateroom category for each sailing and takes the middle value across all sailings of the same length, with taxes and fees included.¹ Halving a two-guest fare gives the per-person price: $975² for 3 nights in an inside stateroom, $1,294 for 4 nights, $1,738.50² for 5 nights and $2,250.50² for 7 nights.

Across all 919 sailings, the overall median was $3,049¹ for two guests, or about $1,525 each. That figure blends lengths and stateroom types, so the table by length and category is the better guide to a specific trip.

Most of the sample is short. Of the 919 sailings, 315 are 4-night trips and 211 are 3-night trips, while 7-night sailings number 200.¹ Another 22² sailings have other lengths and are not broken out by stateroom type, which is why the four length rows add up to 897.

How much is a Disney cruise for two?

For a couple, the stateroom fare is the trip price. A 7-night inside stateroom has a median fare of $4,501; add recommended gratuities of $224² for the week and the total comes to $4,725² before any drinks, Wi-Fi or excursions.⁵ On a 4-night sailing the same couple pays $2,588 for the fare and $128² in gratuities.

Against earnings, the 4-night fare equals about 2.64² weeks of the US median wage for all occupations, which was $50,980⁶ a year in May 2025, or $980.38² a week. The 7-night fare equals about 4.59² weeks of that pay.

Per person, 7 nights in the four stateroom types cost the following medians, with concierge more than three times an inside stateroom.¹

How much is a Disney cruise for a family of 4?

A family of four in two inside staterooms on a 7-night sailing pays two stateroom fares, $9,002² at the median, plus $448² in recommended gratuities, for $9,450² in total.¹⁵ Gratuities are charged for every guest, so they double with the head count while the fare doubles with the stateroom count.

Many families instead book one stateroom for three or four guests. The fares here price two guests per stateroom, and the price of a third or fourth guest in the same stateroom is not part of this data.¹ The two-stateroom total is therefore an upper reference for four people, not a quote.

Disney cruise prices by trip length

The nightly rate barely changes with length. An inside stateroom costs a median $650¹ a night for two on a 3-night sailing, $647² on a 4-night sailing and $643¹ on a 7-night sailing. A longer cruise buys more nights at almost the same rate rather than a discount per night.

The step up to a verandah grows with length in dollars. In percent it stays near a fifth on 3 to 5 nights and rises to 27% on 7 nights. Measured as the median of each sailing's own price difference, the upgrade costs $408⁴ on 3 nights and $1,554⁴ on 7 nights.⁴

That 7-night step is smaller than the gap between the two 7-night medians, $2,786² for two, or $1,393 per person. The two measures differ because the medians come from different mixes of sailings: the per-sailing figure compares a verandah and an inside stateroom on the same voyage, while many 7-night verandah fares come from Alaska and Europe sailings, where verandahs carry a bigger premium.⁴

How much is a 3-day Disney cruise?

The 3-night sailings are the cheapest way aboard: $1,950¹ for two in an inside stateroom, $2,394¹ in a verandah and $4,900¹ in concierge. Per person, a concierge stateroom on 3 nights costs $2,450².

Five-night sailings cost a median $3,477¹ for two in an inside stateroom, or about $695.40² a night, a little above the 3-night and 7-night rates. A verandah on 5 nights costs $4,101¹ and concierge $8,620¹.

Stateroom type: from inside to concierge

An ocean view is the smallest upgrade.¹ It adds about $230¹ to a 3-night fare and about $255¹ to a 4-night fare for two. Across all sailings with both stateroom types, the median step from inside to verandah is $660¹, about 23%¹ of the inside fare.

How much is concierge on a Disney cruise?

Concierge is priced in a different range. On 7 nights the median concierge fare is $16,208 for two, which is $1,157.71² per person per night, and 7-night concierge fares ran from $8,652¹ to $49,427 across the sample.¹ Concierge guests also pay a higher recommended gratuity, $27.25⁵ per guest per night, which comes to $381.50² for two on a 7-night sailing.

The ladder is steeper on longer trips. On 5 nights the four stateroom types cost $3,477, $3,665, $4,101 and $8,620 for two, so concierge costs 2.48² times an inside stateroom; on 7 nights the ratio rises to 3.60².¹ Much of that jump comes from the 7-night concierge median itself, which is almost double the 5-night figure.

When and where you sail

The month of departure moves the price more than the length of the trip. October sailings have the lowest median inside fare, $498³ a night for two, and June the highest, $858³, a gap of 72%.³ On a 7-night trip for two, the difference between those months comes to about $2,500³.

Disney cruise prices per person in 2026 therefore swing with the calendar: halving the nightly medians gives about $249² a night each in October and about $429² in June.³ March, June, July and December are the four dearest months on the chart, and September to November the three cheapest.³ March has the most sailings of any month in the sample, 102³, and still ranks third dearest at $759 a night; May, with 95 sailings, costs $667, and August, with 85, costs $680. October, the cheapest month, has only 52 sailings.³

The ship matters as much as the month. Fleet-wide, including the Singapore-based Disney Adventure, the median inside fare runs from $421⁷ to $813⁷ a night for two. Among ships sailing from US ports, the cheapest is the Disney Magic at $538⁷ a night, and the Disney Wish costs 1.51² times as much.⁷

So how much is a Disney Destiny cruise? The Destiny, which entered service in November 2025 from Port Everglades, lists a median inside fare of $785⁷ a night for two, second only to the Wish, and its median fare across all its itineraries is $3,642⁷.⁸ The fleet median is $662⁷ a night, or $697⁷ leaving out the Adventure; per person that is $331² and $348.50².

Each ship's median fare mixes its own itinerary lengths, so a ship that sails mostly short trips shows a lower median fare even at a high nightly rate.⁷ The table sets the fare, the cheapest fare seen and the verandah rate side by side. The Disney Treasure has the highest median fare, $5,030⁷, and also the highest cheapest fare, $3,566⁷. Verandah nights cost the most on the Destiny, $958⁷ for two, and the least on the Adventure, $616⁷; on the Fantasy a verandah night costs $823, only $119 more than an inside night on the same ship.⁷

Where the ship sails changes the cost of a better stateroom most of all. On Bahamian sailings, the most common itinerary with 388 sailings, a verandah adds a median 16%⁴ to the inside fare. On Alaska sailings it adds 97%⁴.⁴

In dollars the gap is just as uneven. The same upgrade costs $464⁴ on a Bahamian sailing, $922⁴ in the Western Caribbean and $1,232⁴ in the Eastern Caribbean.

How much is a Disney Alaskan cruise?

Alaska is the most expensive region to upgrade in.⁴ The median Alaska sailing costs $4,081⁴ for two in an inside stateroom, or $2,040.50² each, and $8,520⁴ in a verandah. The median per-sailing upgrade is $4,242⁴, and on the middle half of Alaska sailings the verandah adds between 89% and 126% to the inside fare.⁴ Disney sails to Alaska from Vancouver on seven-night voyages from May 2026,⁹ but the lengths of the Alaska sailings behind these medians are not broken out.⁴

What the fare leaves out

The fare excludes airfare, transfers, shore excursions, gratuities, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, bottled water and laundry.¹⁰ Several extras rose in price in 2025 and 2026.

How much are Disney cruise gratuities?

Since January 23, 2025, Disney has recommended $16⁵ per guest per night in standard staterooms and $27.25 in concierge staterooms and suites, up from $14.50 and $23.50.⁵ The amounts apply to every guest, children and infants included.⁵ They are added to the onboard account automatically, and guests can adjust them at Guest Services on board.¹²

Against other large cruise lines, Disney's standard rate is the lowest on the chart below and its suite rate the highest.⁵ Two guests on a 7-night sailing pay $224 at the standard rate, about 5%² of the $4,501 median inside fare. A family of four on a 4-night sailing pays $256², because every guest is charged the same nightly amount.⁵

In suites the order flips. Disney's concierge rate of $27.25 a night is above every suite rate on the next chart, where the other lines charge between $19.00 and $25.00.⁵ For a concierge couple on 7 nights, that is the $381.50 noted above.

How much is WiFi on a Disney cruise?

Disney's Connect@Sea Internet plan costs $30¹¹ per device per day and the Internet + Streaming plan $49¹¹, after increases in January 2026 from $26 and $42.¹¹ The plans are priced per device, not per stateroom, so one device online for a 7-night cruise costs $210² on the basic plan and $343² with streaming. Two devices on the streaming plan for a 4-night sailing cost $392².¹¹

Adult-only dining is the other common extra. Palo brunch and dinner cost $55¹⁹ each and dinner at Remy costs $145¹⁹; an 18% gratuity is added to Palo and Remy dinners, while the Palo brunch price generally includes it.¹⁹ Enchante, on the Wish, Treasure and Destiny, also costs $145 for lunch or dinner.¹⁹¹²

How much is a drink package on a Disney cruise?

There is none to buy: no Disney ship sells an all-you-can-drink alcohol package.²⁰ Drinks are bought one at a time or in small bundles instead. A souvenir 23-oz (680 ml) beer mug costs $18²⁰ and is refilled at the 16-oz price, and six 16-oz cans delivered to the stateroom cost about $36.25²⁰, or $6.04² a can. Bar and spa purchases carry an 18% automatic service charge.¹²

Guests may also bring a little alcohol aboard. Under the Disney cruise alcohol policy per person now in force, each guest aged 21 or older may hand-carry one unopened bottle of wine or champagne of up to 750 ml (25.4 fl oz), or six beers of up to 12 oz (355 ml) each, at the start of the voyage only.¹⁰ Alcohol packed in checked luggage is removed, and wine, beer or spirits bought in port are stored until the end of the cruise.¹⁰ The rule took effect on June 3, 2026; before it, guests could bring two bottles of wine at embarkation plus one bottle bought in each port.²¹

How much is the photo package on a Disney cruise? Unlimited digital photos cost about $195¹² on 3- and 4-night sailings, $212¹² on 5 nights and $296¹² on 7 nights, and a 10-photo package about $150¹². The nursery for children aged 6 months to 3 years costs $10¹² an hour.

How much is parking at Port Canaveral for a Disney cruise? The port charges $20²² a day plus tax for cars and RVs, counting both the day of arrival and the day of departure. A 4-night cruise spans 5 calendar days, so parking costs $100²; a 7-night cruise costs $160².²²

Booking terms: deposit, cancellation and protection

How much deposit is due for a Disney cruise?

For bookings made from June 18, 2025, the initial deposit is 10% of the voyage fare, down from 20% for bookings made on or before June 17, 2025, and it is calculated on the cruise fare alone, before taxes and fees.²³ On a $4,501 7-night inside fare, which includes taxes and fees, the deposit is therefore a little under $450. Placeholder deposits are 5% for sailings of 7 nights or more, and concierge deposits are non-refundable.²³ Under the earlier 20% rate, the same fare would have needed a little under $900. Disney sets the deposit amount at the time of booking.¹⁰

The cancellation schedule depends on the fare type, the length of the sailing and the stateroom type. Inside, oceanview and verandah fares sold as categories with restrictions are non-refundable and non-transferable: the fee is 100% from the time of payment.¹⁰ For all other fares, cancelling 90 days or more before a 1- to 5-night sailing outside suites and concierge costs nothing, and from 14 days out the whole fare is lost.¹⁰

Flights booked through Disney carry their own change fees. For flights within the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, changes 30 to 55 days out cost $200¹⁰ per guest and from 29 days out $300¹⁰; for other flights the fees are $300 and $500¹⁰. Ground transfers cancelled 7 days or less before sailing cost the full transfer price.¹⁰

Disney sells its own Vacation Protection Plan but does not publish a price for it. It covers trip cancellation and interruption up to the trip cost, with a $20,000²⁴ limit, medical expenses up to $20,000 and emergency evacuation up to $50,000²⁴.²⁴ A Cancel For Any Reason feature returns 75%²⁴ of the cancellation fee as a credit, not as insurance cover. Baggage loss is covered up to $3,000²⁴, and trip delays of 6 hours or more and baggage delays of 24 hours or more up to $500 each.²⁴

The terms also let Disney change or cancel any port call without liability, private-island days included.¹⁰

How Disney compares with other cruise lines

The three big US-listed cruise groups report a different measure: the ticket revenue they collect per passenger per day. In fiscal 2025 it ranged from $171.28²⁵ to $264.56²⁶, with $213.86²⁷ in between, or $197.42² weighted across the three.² Those figures average every stateroom and sailing actually sold, include air and transfers sold by the line, and are measured before travel-agent commissions.²⁵ Counting onboard and other revenue as well, total revenue per passenger day was $261.77²⁵, $306.48²⁷ and $388.78²⁶, or $293.18² weighted, so onboard and other revenue added about $95.76² a day per passenger across the three groups. Disney reports no comparable per-day figure for its cruise line.²⁸

Disney's own price sits on a different measure. Its fleet median inside fare of $662 a night for two is $331 per person per night, and $348.50 leaving out the Adventure.⁷ That is a median of public fares with taxes and fees, not revenue actually collected, so the two numbers are not directly comparable.²

Disney cruise ships by age

Disney sails eight ships in 2026.²⁹ The Disney Magic, which made its maiden voyage on July 30, 1998, is the oldest at 28² years; the Disney Adventure, which sailed from Singapore on March 10, 2026, is the newest.⁹³⁰ The Magic and Wonder carry 2,713⁹ guests each, the five Dream and Wish class ships 4,000 each and the Adventure about 6,700³⁰.

In order of age, the fleet runs from the Magic (1998, 28 years) and the Wonder (1999, 27 years) to the Dream (2011, 15 years) and the Fantasy (2012, 14 years), then the Wish (2022, 4 years), the Treasure (2024, 2 years), the Destiny (2025, 1 year) and the Adventure (2026).⁹⁸³⁰ Ten years passed between the Fantasy and the Wish; since 2022, four ships have arrived.

The ships grew with each class. The Magic and Wonder measure 84,000⁹ gross tons and 984 feet (300 m) with 875 staterooms and 950 crew; the Dream and Fantasy 130,000⁹ gross tons and 1,115 feet (340 m) with 1,250 staterooms and 1,458 crew; the Wish and Treasure 144,000⁹ gross tons and 1,119 feet (341 m) with 1,555 crew.⁹ The Adventure is the longest at 1,122³⁰ feet (342 m), with about 2,500 crew,³⁰ and Disney's fiscal 2025 annual report puts it at about 200,000²⁸ tons with about 2,100 staterooms; the same report gives the Destiny about 1,250 staterooms.²⁸

The Destiny, delivered in 2025, is a Wish class ship of about 144,000 gross tons, and the Disney Believe, due for delivery in 2027, is listed by its shipyard at 140,000³² gross tons with 1,250 cabins.⁸³² Disney plans to launch four more ships between 2027 and 2031, the Believe among them, all under contract, and a separate ship owned and operated by Oriental Land Co. is to enter service in Japan by early 2029.²⁸⁹

Adding up the guest capacity printed for each ship gives 32,126² for the eight ships in 2026, up from 25,426 in 2025; the Adventure alone added 6,700.⁹³⁰ The fact sheets do not state whether these figures assume two or more guests per stateroom.

The ships also serve two private island destinations: Castaway Cay, a 1,000²⁸-acre island in the Bahamas, and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, about 600³³ acres on Eleuthera, which opened in June 2024.

The business behind the ships

Disney reports its cruise line inside the Experiences segment, together with its parks and resorts. The segment's definition changed twice: consumer products were added in fiscal 2019, and the segment was restated as Experiences in fiscal 2023.³⁴³⁵ Growth is therefore compared here only within the current definition, where revenue rose from $28,085 million³⁵ in fiscal 2022 to $36,156 million²⁸ in fiscal 2025, up 28.7%².

Segment operating income grew faster than revenue, from $7,285 million³⁵ in fiscal 2022 to $9,995 million²⁸ in fiscal 2025, up 37.2%². That is a margin of 27.6%² on fiscal 2025 revenue.²⁸ Fiscal 2021, when parks and sailings were still recovering from pandemic closures, shows a loss.

The longer history sits in the table, each year under the definition it was reported with. The as-reported rows (fiscal 2015-2022) are not comparable with the current segment, because they exclude consumer products before 2019 and follow the older segment boundaries until 2023; fiscal 2021 and 2022 also appear as restated under the current definition.³⁵

Ships are expensive, and the segment's spending shows it. Capital expenditure in the parks and experiences segment reached $6,429 million² in fiscal 2025, 75.7%² more than the $3,659 million of fiscal 2024.²⁸ Disney attributed the fiscal 2024 increase partly to higher spending on cruise ship fleet expansion, alongside theme park and resort expansion and new attractions,³³ and it lists cruise ships among the main uses of the segment's capital.²⁸

Spending had dipped to $2,272 million in fiscal 2021 before rising to $3,447 million in fiscal 2022.³⁵ Most of the growth came at home. Domestic capital expenditure nearly doubled in fiscal 2025, to $5,271 million²⁸, while international spending rose to $1,158 million²⁸.

Within Disney as a whole, Experiences is the profit engine. It earned 57%² of the three segments' combined operating income in fiscal 2025, on less revenue than the Entertainment segment.²⁸

The newest quarter shows the ships' effect directly. In the third quarter of fiscal 2026, new ships increased stateroom capacity by about 50% on the year before, and additional passenger cruise days added 10 percentage points to resorts and vacations revenue growth.³⁹ Experiences revenue rose 10%³⁹ and its operating income 20%³⁹. The gain came from the domestic business, where operating income rose 27% to $2,088 million, while international operating income fell 13% to $369 million.³⁹

Cruise days have driven the segment's resorts and vacations revenue up and down for six years. They cut it by 15 points in fiscal 2020 and added 32³⁸ points in fiscal 2022, when sailings resumed.³⁴ In fiscal 2024 the gain came instead from higher average ticket prices.³³ For fiscal 2026 Disney guided to $160 million⁴⁰ of cruise pre-opening expense and $120 million⁴⁰ of dry-dock expense.

Cruising in context

Disney's growth comes during a cruise boom. A record 37.2 million⁴² people took an ocean cruise in 2025, up from 31.1 million in 2023.⁴² The series counts member lines only until 2015 and all lines from 2016, so the early years understate the market. Industry forecasts put 2026 at 38.3 million⁴² passengers and 2029 at 42.1 million⁴²; the chart's own trend line is a separate calculation.

The largest share of those passengers sails where Disney's US-based ships do.⁴² The Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda drew 16.27 million⁴² cruise passengers in 2025, more than any other region, and Alaska drew 1.70 million⁴².⁴² Asia and China, where the Adventure sails from Singapore, drew 3.11 million⁴², up 19.6%² on 2024, the fastest growth of any region shown.⁴²

The global fleet keeps growing as well. The ocean fleet of the industry's member lines reached 327⁴² ships in 2026, up from 251 in 2018, and Disney's eight are a small share of that count.⁴²⁹

What crew earn

How much do Disney cruise employees make?

Disney does not publish crew pay. Its ships in service through 2025 fly the flag of the Bahamas.⁹ The nearest international reference is the ILO minimum basic wage for an able seafarer, a deck rating: a global guideline figure under the ILO's 2006 maritime convention, agreed between shipowner and seafarer representatives. It is not binding in itself, it does not cover hotel and dining staff, and it is not Disney's pay scale. It was $690⁴³ a month from January 1, 2026, or $8,280² a year.⁴³⁴⁴ That is 34%² more than the $515 in force in 2007, and the rate is already agreed at $704⁴³ for 2027 and $715⁴³ for 2028.⁴⁴ The chart shows the rates in force each year to 2026; the adopted 2027 and 2028 rates are in the table and are not part of the trend.

The rate stayed at $614 from 2016 to 2019 after no agreement was reached in 2016, and rose to $618 in July 2019.⁴⁴

US wages for similar jobs are far higher, though they are not cruise pay either. Sailors and marine oilers in the United States earned a mean $56,830⁶ and a median $51,520⁶ in May 2025, across all industries.⁶ The country employed 31,670⁶ sailors and marine oilers and 36,850⁶ captains, mates and pilots that year.

How much does a Disney cruise captain make?

Disney does not publish its captains' pay either. The nearest official figure is for US captains, mates and pilots of water vessels, whose mean annual wage was $103,720⁶ in May 2025, about $8,640² a month; the median was $92,460⁶.⁶ The mean is 1.49² times the all-occupation mean of $69,770, and the median 1.81² times the all-occupation median.

The spread within the job is wide. A captain, mate or pilot at the 90th percentile earned $170,640⁶ in May 2025, and one at the 10th percentile $47,420⁶. Ship engineers earn more than captains at every percentile except the 90th.⁶

Inside the deep-sea, coastal and Great Lakes shipping industry, pay varies by the kind of work. Food preparation and serving jobs averaged $45,550⁴⁵ and personal care and service jobs $40,840⁴⁵ in May 2025, against $85,120⁴⁵ for all jobs in the industry.⁴⁵ These are US-based employers only, not the crews of foreign-flagged cruise ships.

Within the shipping industry alone, the shipboard jobs pay more than their all-industry averages: captains averaged $104,610⁴⁵ and sailors $64,390⁴⁵.⁴⁵

Where the job is based matters too. Captains, mates and pilots averaged $143,980⁴⁶ in Maryland, the highest of the states with published data, and $84,720⁴⁶ in Florida, where 5,040 held the job.⁴⁶ Louisiana, the state with the most of these jobs, averaged $119,980, Texas $112,180 and California $129,580.⁴⁶

What it means for your budget

Put together, a 4-night inside stateroom for two costs a median $2,588, plus $128 in recommended gratuities and $100 of parking at Port Canaveral.¹⁵²² One device on the basic Wi-Fi plan adds $30 a day, and every adult dinner at Palo adds $55 a head before its gratuity.¹¹¹⁹

The biggest lever is the calendar, not the extras.³ Moving the same inside stateroom from June to October saves about $360 a night for two, more than a whole week of gratuities for a couple. The second lever is the ship: the Disney Magic's $538 a night is the lowest among the US-based ships.⁷

For a family of four on a 7-night sailing in two inside staterooms, the fare and gratuities come to $9,450. One device on the basic Wi-Fi plan for the week brings that to $9,660², and a week of parking at Port Canaveral to $9,820², before drinks, adult dining, photos or excursions.² A 10% deposit on the two fares, which is charged on the fare before taxes and fees, would be a little under $900 at booking.²³

Conclusions

1. Nights, not length discounts, drive the bill. Inside fares run $650 a night on 3 nights and $643 on 7, so a longer cruise buys more nights at almost the same rate; the month ($498 to $858 a night) and the ship ($538 to $813 among US-based ships) move the price more.¹³⁷
2. The cost of a better stateroom depends on where you sail. A verandah adds 16% on Bahamian sailings but 97% on Alaska sailings, so the same choice is a small step on one trip and nearly a doubling on another.⁴
